FICCI
organized a two day Higher Education Summit "Higher Education at the Crossroads:
Imperatives for Policy & Practice" in partnership with Canada on November
25 & 26, 2008 at FICCI, New Delhi. The event was supported by Ministry
of Human Resource & Development, Government of India and the leading global
consulting firm Ernst & Young was the Knowledge Partner.
Mr.
Montek Singh Ahluwalia, Deputy Chairman, Planning Commission, Government of
India, Prof. David Johnston, President, University of Waterloo, Canada
and Prof. Malcolm Grant, President & Provost, UCL, UK were the Key
Speakers in the event.
Canada was the Partner country and Prof. David
Johnston led a 60 member Canadian delegation
Over 500 Delegates
participated, of which more than 25% were foreign participants from 18 countries.
22 Higher Educational Institutions showcased their products and services at
the Exhibition and 190 B2Bs were organized for Indian and Canadian participants.
